For our weekend in Düsseldorf, we stayed at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia. We arrived from the airport by taking bus 760 to Freiligrathplatz and then the U-bahn 78 or 79 to Golzheimerplatz, the hotel is a block away.
Please note there are 2 Radisson hotels in Düsseldorf,one in the north part of the city, near the fair (the Radisson Blu Scandinavia) and one right in the new area, Media Harbour (the Radisson Blu Media Harbor).
The Radisson Blu Scandinavia is mainly a business hotel, but it is in no way cold or anonymous. It has the classic Radisson concept of minimalism and design with modern and functional interiors and also a classic Radisson feature which we appreciate: the in-room free wi-fi. The buffet breakfast was extensive and there was also an omelette station.
The staff is super-kind (something very different from the rude staff at the Radisson Blu in Rome) and everything is spotless, even the wellness area downstairs (it has a pool, sauna, whirlpool and relaxation area) is great, a perfect stay!
